GROUPS & BRIEF THERAPIES

TREATMENT INDUCTION GROUP

Rare Unit is a weekly support group for people who are still using drugs. It is an open access group, no appointment or assessment is necessary – just come to the drop-in. Support on offer includes advice around harm reduction, controlling drug use, advice on treatment, preparation for treatment and free complimentary therapies. This is an informal forum for you to openly discuss any issues around drug use.

AFTERCARE

The relapse prevention group is for clients who are maintaining changes to previous drug taking behaviour or in shared care drug treatment. The group runs for 6 weeks and covers topics such as Triggers, Cravings, Dealing with Lapse and setting up an Action Plan.

STIMULANT GROUP

The Structured Stimulant Group, Relapse Prevention and individual key working sessions work within and develop from established Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques. We are continually developing this existing service to ensure cutting edge and effective interventions wherever an individual may be at within the cycle of change.

We offer complimentary therapies to all clients engaged in any of our services. Auricular acupuncture is available at most sessions.
